Lehnberghaus - Arzkasten - Obsteig
Once popular primarily among children, toboganning is now very much in vogue with young and old alike and is a real alternative to Alpine skiing. While the little ones slide down on the 'Mugerln', the big people hurtle down into the valley on toboggan runs that go on for kilometres. An outing destination beloved by guests and locals alike is the Lehnberghaus hut. In winter, the 4.5 km toboggan track from the Lehnberghaus to the Arzkasten is easy to manage and guarantees sliding delight.
Simmering Alm - Obsteig
The climb to the Simmering Alpine Pasture requires somewhat more effort and takes about 2 hours to get to on foot. A stunning panorama and a multifarious half-hour descent make up for it though.
