Find the right rhythm on the infinite trails of the Sun Plateau, without having to pass up the comforts of a cultivated cuisine that come with other sporting options.

Depending on the snow conditions, you can start your cross-country skiing tour in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. Feel free to pick up your trail map and informative literature at reception. You can store your equipment in our ski closet on-site. At Sport Schaber right next to the hotel, you can also have pros examine and wax your equipment on-site.

'To hell and beyond' - Ski tour on Hell's Head (2,194m)
'Hell's Head' is found in the Mieming Chain and is a peak just in front of the Grünstein. The tour is an ideal choice throughout the winter, with its 1,043 metres altitude difference surmountable in roughly 3h to 3h30. The ascent takes you past the Lehnberghaus hut heading for hell. Then you climb the 400 metres altitude, pretty steep in places, up the left cirque and this way you'll come to the Hell Pass (2,126 metres up). Now it's not much further to 'Hell's Head'. The last 73 metres of altitude lead you over a northern slope to the summit. The descent follows the path you ascended. Depending on the snow conditions and the temperature, you can stay in the shade, but during the firn season it's better to seek out the slopes in the sun. In conjunction with the Innsbruck Alpine School, ASI Wirklich Reisen, we offer ski touring courses for newcomers with guided summit tours, snow and avalanche studies.
